The FY25 StewartBrown Retirement Living Performance Report released today reveals that capacity and infrastructure strain for the retirement living sector is compounded by an ageing population and there is increasing demand for care and support services within village communities.

The StewartBrown Retirement Living Performance Report, now in its second year, provides comprehensive, independent financial benchmarking and insights for Australia’s retirement living sector, designed to support effective evidence-based decision-making for boards, executives, investors, and policymakers. Report participants also have access to leading edge reporting tools to enhance their reporting capabilities.

Based on detailed data from 85 operators, 617 villages and more than 51,700 residents nationally, the FY25 report paints a picture of a sector undergoing rapid structural change as villages increasingly serve an older, more care-dependent resident profile and also outlines strategic considerations for operators.
